Cardiff Women's Aid -Volunteering Opportunities

 

Are you looking to make a positive change for women in YOUR local community?

 

Cardiff Women's Aid is currently recruiting Women's Rights Champions to volunteer as part of an emerging women's rights project within Cardiff and the Vale. Women's Rights Champions will work to increase knowledge and understanding of women's rights at the heart of the community, particularly as they impact on issues of violence against women (and specifically domestic violence and abuse).

 

The project will work to change attitudes and behaviour through one to one, group and community action. Volunteers will receive free comprehensive training and expenses. Women only need apply. Exemption sought under section 7(2) (e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. Position: Deputy Leader/ Assistant
Location: The Broad Shoard, Cowbridge
Salary - £8.75 for deputy role and then £6.50 for assistant role (per hour)
Hours - 18 hours
Qualification - NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, Care and Education

 

We are looking for a person who is a fluent Welsh speaker or a confident learner, who is willing to run the Cylch Meithrin in the absence of the leader and be an assistant on the other days. It is expected that the successful applicant complete a CRB disclosure and any relevant references.

If the answer to above is YES this could be the challenge for you.

An exciting and important role is now vacant in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, we are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual with senior management skills, who is a first class communicator, to take the lead for this area in the UK's largest co-ed youth organisation.

 

This is a voluntary role. It involves leading a large team of adult volunteers in the delivery of everyday adventure to the Young People of Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan on behalf of The Scout Association. As Area Commissioner you would be responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of an exciting and challenging progressive training programme to nearly 3000 Young People aged between 6 and 25 years. You will continue with the further development of the Association in the Area. To enable you to carry out this task teams of dedicated adults, along with professional support, are currently in place. You would work closely with other Area Commissioners throughout Wales and be supported by The Chief Commissioner for Wales.
